What to expect
Korat Vegetarian Festival: 9 Days of Merit was announced for 10–18 October 2026 around the Thao Suranari Monument and participating city shrines. The Tourism Authority of Thailand named Tiger Shrine, City Pillar Shrine, Fire Shrine and Ya Mo among the locations. The programme brought shrine ceremonies and processions into the city’s annual vegetarian-festival observance.
TAT’s announcement identified three dated highlights. On 10 October, sacred ceremonies were listed from 16:09, followed by the Pang Eia procession from 18:39. The Ing Keng spirit-medium procession was announced for the Ya Mo area on 13 October from 08:29. On 15 October, the Koi Han ceremony, described as crossing the bridge for the twelve zodiac signs, was listed at Ya Mo Plaza from 19:19.
These are historical programme times in Bangkok time, not current visitor appointments. The festival has ended, and this page preserves its 2026 announcement. A later edition needs a new schedule: the annual tradition does not make next year’s dates, route or ceremony times automatic.
