How do I get from Korat to Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK)?

Our practical choice: a coach to Mo Chit 2 plus an airport transfer for a lower-cost trip; a reserved train to Bangkok plus MRT and Airport Rail Link to reduce road travel; or a pre-booked private car for fewer changes and heavy luggage. Compare the complete journey, including waiting and transfers. Suvarnabhumi is BKK; Don Mueang is DMK. Read the transport answers below before booking.

Which bus should I take from Korat towards Suvarnabhumi?

Cherdchai is a verifiable option to Mo Chit 2: its operator timetable lists first-class coaches from 04:00 to 19:00, hourly. Confirm your date and whether boarding is at Korat Old or New Bus Station; these are different stops. This is a Bangkok coach, not a direct airport service. Air Korat Pattana is another operator to compare. We cannot rank one company as best without comparable current service evidence. Choose a confirmed departure with enough transfer time, suitable baggage allowance and seat class. Check the current fare when booking.

How do I continue from Mo Chit 2 to Suvarnabhumi Airport?

With luggage, a taxi from Mo Chit 2 to BKK is the simpler connection; agree how tolls are charged. For a rail connection, take a local transfer to MRT Chatuchak Park, ride the Blue Line towards Phetchaburi, use Exit 1 for Makkasan Airport Rail Link, then take the airport-bound train. Mo Chit 2 coach terminal is not BTS Mo Chit or MRT Chatuchak Park: allow time to reach the station. Buy separate tickets for each operator and check the last trains for your date.

Can I take a train from Korat to Suvarnabhumi Airport?

There is no through train on this itinerary. Search SRT D-Ticket from Nakhon Ratchasima to Krung Thep Aphiwat for your date and compare arrival times and seat classes. At Krung Thep Aphiwat, follow signs to MRT Bang Sue, ride the Blue Line via Chatuchak Park to Phetchaburi, walk to Makkasan and change to Airport Rail Link for BKK. Check the Bangkok arrival station on your ticket: not every train uses the same terminus. Train delays and city transfers need extra time; avoid a tight flight connection.

How much is a private car from Korat to Suvarnabhumi?

As checked on 21 September 2026, Korat Taxi lists Korat → Suvarnabhumi at 3,700 baht for a sedan (1–3 passengers), 4,000 baht for an SUV (1–4), or 4,500 baht for a van (5–9). These are per-vehicle advertised rates, not a quote or endorsement. The operator says tolls and fuel are included. Confirm pickup address, luggage capacity, child seats, departure time and any extra charges in writing. This is the simplest option for avoiding transfers; road traffic can still delay you.

Details still to confirm

Is there a direct Korat–Suvarnabhumi airport bus?

Some booking sites show this route, but we have not verified a current direct departure with its operator. Older university guides mention an overnight bus; do not use that old timetable for a flight. Before paying, confirm the operating company, travel date, boarding stop and whether the ticket ends at the airport terminal, its Public Transportation Center, or Bangkok city. A search page titled “Suvarnabhumi” does not prove that its individual tickets are direct airport buses.

When should I leave Korat for an early flight from BKK?

Our planning advice: travel to Bangkok or an airport hotel the day before an early flight. For same-day travel, work backwards from your airline’s check-in and bag-drop deadlines, then add the whole Korat journey, transfers and a substantial delay buffer. Aim to be at the terminal about three hours before an international departure unless your airline asks for more. Do not confuse arrival at a Bangkok bus or train station with arrival at BKK, and do not assume airport rail runs all night.

Where can I play pool or darts?

Monkey Bar on Suranaree Road advertises a free pool table and darts board in its business-managed listing. Ask about availability and current house rules. Snooker clubs use different tables and rules; a snooker listing does not automatically mean American pool.
