About
Phimai’s Khmer sanctuary rewards a slower walk through the gateways and central buildings. Our planning suggestion is 60–90 minutes in the park, with more time for the separate National Museum or a look around town.
Hours and admission
The park’s visitor information lists daily opening from 07:00 to 18:00. The Fine Arts Department’s dated 2026 calendar gives regular admission as ฿20 for Thai visitors and ฿200 for foreign visitors.
Getting there and parking
From Korat, take Mittraphap Road towards Khon Kaen and turn at Talat Khae onto route 206 for Phimai. The park lists a free visitor car park, toilets and souvenir shops near the entrance.
Add the National Museum
Phimai National Museum is a separate visit from the historical park. Its current official information lists Wednesday–Sunday and public holidays, 09:00–16:00. Check the museum day before combining the two.
Know before you go
- Choose comfortable shoes for walking around the historic site.
- Bring sun protection and allow a break rather than rushing between buildings.
- Check the museum’s opening day separately if you want to visit both places.
- Read the current entrance notice before buying tickets or planning an evening visit.
