A 1.2 km loop from the visitor centre, suited to a shorter forest outing.
Register and check the trail at the visitor centre. The park lists this route without a mandatory guide.
BEYOND THE CITY
Start with Khao Yai & Pak Chong. Pick one main activity, leave room for lunch, and make a trip that feels like a break.
Allow roughly 2–3 hours each way to the Khao Yai area as a planning estimate. The exact attraction, traffic and driving inside the park can add time. Check the route before leaving.
A museum plus one vineyard suits a relaxed day. For a dawn walk, night safari or camping, stay overnight and arrange transport ahead.
Seasonal notice: The Thai park notice closes Pha Diao Dai from 1 June through 30 September 2026. Check for a reopening update before planning that trail. Park updates ↗

The 4.2 km one-way route from kilometre 33 passes forest and grassland. A longer, more active choice than the visitor-centre loop.
A guide is mandatory. Arrange one and the return transport with the visitor centre; check conditions after rain.
A waterfall stop inside the park, which can be paired with a short forest walk on a full day out.
Ask rangers about access and water conditions. Follow barriers and signs; this is a waterfall-viewing suggestion, not a swimming venue.
Look for forest birds around the visitor centre and ranger-recommended trails. Bring binoculars and keep your distance from wildlife.
Choose an open route with the visitor centre. Wildlife sightings are never guaranteed.
Join the park vehicle and guide for nocturnal wildlife spotting. An overnight stay nearby makes the evening easier to plan.
Reserve at the visitor centre before 18:00 and confirm that day’s departure. Private night drives are not permitted.
Sleep at the designated park campground and start the next morning close to the trails. Cool-season trips are usually more comfortable.
Reserve space and ask about tent rental, rain and current campsite availability. This is the campground inside Khao Yai, not the reservoir near Sikhio.
A vineyard and winery tour offered in English and Thai, with a tasting at the end. Grape juice is offered to visitors under 20.
Advance reservation recommended. Confirm the current price and departure time; arrange a non-drinking driver.
A guided look at the vineyards and winery, with a tasting and grape juice for younger visitors.
The booking page requests 72 hours’ notice. Its displayed prices expired in 2025, so request a current quote; grape picking is not included.
Contemporary Thai art in indoor galleries, plus an outdoor sculpture garden in Mu Si. A useful quieter stop or rainy-day alternative.
The museum website lists 09:00–17:00 daily. Confirm special closures; the garden is outdoors.
Water slides and pool-based family fun near Mu Si. Choose this as the main activity rather than squeezing it between several stops.
Operator website lists 10:00–18:00, closed Wednesdays. Call 044 001 188 to confirm which zones and rides are operating before paying or travelling.
The resort lists bicycles, paddleboards, go-karts, archery, surf-skates, board games and a telescope among its guest activities.
Treat these as resort guest activities. Public day access is not confirmed; ask about age limits, equipment and conditions before booking. This is separate from Wild Cafe in Korat city.
Suggested combinations, not booked tours. Allow driving time between stops.
Leave Korat early → Khao Yai Art Museum → lunch → one reserved GranMonte or PB Valley tour → return. Choose one vineyard to keep the day comfortable.
Early drive → park visitor centre and current trail advice → Kong Kaew loop → lunch → Haew Suwat if accessible → leave before the park closes. Keep a museum visit as the wet-weather alternative.
Option A: check in, reserve a ranger night safari, then take an approved walk next morning. Option B: book an activity resort and leave time for cycling, archery or paddleboarding, subject to the resort’s conditions.
